For the first edition of 3SHOTS - The Triptych Photography Festival - 99 triptychs will be selected through an international competition (open from July 8th until September 30th) on www.3shotsfestival.com and on the Picter platform. The triptychs will be viewable and votable for the international jury and the audience for 3 days (from November 18th until the 20th) and the winner will be announced during the closing ceremony (on November 21st).
During the three-month open call, 3SHOTS Festival will search for the 100th triptych on Instagram: any of the uploaded triptychs from any profile with the hashtag #3SHOTSCONTEST, the one that receives the most amount of likes will enter the official selection of the festival's first edition, and will be available on the website alongside the other 99 triptychs from November 18th until the 21st.
How to participate in #3SHOTSCONTEST
Triptych creation: you simply post three photos in a slide to create the triptych. The images must be three within the same post and they must be published together with a caption that explain their connection, curated by the content creator.
#hashtag e @tag: post it on Instagram from your profile adding all three images, #3SHOTSCONTEST and tag the official festival instagram account @3shotsfest.
There are no limits to the amount of triptychs that each contestant can submit through Instagram.
Between all the published triptychs between July 8th and September 30th the one that receives the most likes will be published on the official 3SHOTS website for the entire duration of the festival alongside the 99 chosen by the Selection Committee. The Instagram winner will not be allowed to compete for the money prize awarded to the winner, but will receive the 3SHOTS Festival - Instagram mention prize.
What we are looking for
As for the competition, there are no categories or limitations. The goal is to find the triptych that best can tell a story: triptychs that convey at their best a flashing idea; stolen shots and immortalized moments with the same speed that is so unique to Instagram.
